QA Automation Engineer

Role: QA Automation Engineer (Senior I)

100% remote role for candidates who must be US citizens or Green Card holders (W-2 full time).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement performance and load testing strategies for web applications and backend services.
• Write, optimize, and maintain automation scripts to streamline and improve testing across environments.
• Create and expand a comprehensive automated testing framework, including test plans, test cases, and continuous testing pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, customer success) to align test strategy with project goals.
• Implement and oversee CI/CT pipelines to provide timely feedback on performance and quality.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on application performance and resource utilization during test cycles.
• Provide clear, actionable test reports for stakeholders.
• Stay current with automation/testing trends and best practices to continuously improve testing processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automated testing with strong ability to write and maintain automation scripts.
• 5+ years of experience in performance and load testing.
• Proficiency with load testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright with C# (or similar), including writing test scripts from scratch.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and effective written/verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Must clear Level II fingerprint background screening (required for certain customer contracts).
