About the role
QA Automation Engineer (Senior I)
Role overview: Design, develop, and optimize automation for performance, load, and functional testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of Brandt’s software products.
Responsibilities
- Performance & load testing: Design and implement strategies for web applications and backend services.
- Automation scripts: Write, optimize, and maintain automation scripts to streamline testing across environments.
- Automation framework: Build and expand an automated testing framework (test plans, test cases, and continuous testing pipelines).
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with development, operations, and customer success to align test strategies with project goals.
- CI/CT pipelines: Implement and oversee CI and continuous testing pipelines for timely feedback on performance and quality.
- Monitoring & reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report application performance and resource utilization; provide actionable stakeholder insights.
- Continuous improvement: Stay current with automation technologies and best practices to enhance the testing process.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in automated testing (automation scripts/frameworks).
- 5+ years in performance and load testing.
- Load testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Test automation tooling: Hands-on with Playwright and C# (or similar), including writing test scripts from scratch.
- CI/CD familiarity: Knowledge of CI/CD tools and frameworks.
- SDLC & Agile: Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Skills: Analytical problem-solving, strong scripting skills, and clear communication.
- Compliance: Must be able to clear Level II fingerprint background screening (required by certain customer contracts).
Compensation & benefits
- Starting salary: $95,000–$115,000 (annual); final level and pay determined by experience/qualification.
