QA Automation Engineer (A)

Role overview

QA Automation Engineer for a long-term, large-scale migration and modernization project for a U.S. client.

• Fully remote
• Candidates must be based in LATAM countries
• Team currently in phases 3–4 (active and fast-moving)
• 50/50 split between manual QA and automation scripting (automation coverage will increase over time)

What you’ll work on

• A full rebuild of an enterprise web platform covering multiple business functions (e.g., sourcing/pricing, purchasing, project management, customer lifecycle, financial/expense management, incident management, and business process automation).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for:
  • functional testing
  • regression testing
  • end-to-end testing
  • using Playwright
• Convert repeatable manual test cases into automated tests to improve efficiency and coverage
• Execute automated test suites and review results to identify failures and defects
• Perform manual QA testing alongside automation work as coverage scales
• Monitor automated test runs and report failures/inconsistencies in Qase
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps
• Support regression and release testing across the ongoing migration
• Perform API and data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Support CI pipeline execution of automated tests and contribute improvement ideas
• Document test cases, test procedures, and known issues in Qase
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, etc.)

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Automation Specialist / QA Automation Engineer
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently deliver and communicate effectively

• Familiarity with a modern QA automation stack:
  • Playwright
  • Qase
  • GitHub (CI)
  • Jira
• Experience working on CI-driven test execution
• Experience with API/data validation in automated and/or manual QA
