About the role
QA Automation Engineer (Hourly Contract)
Location: Remote (United States)
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Compensation: $30–$80/hour
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks as requirements evolve
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to build effective automated test cases
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Identify, document, and track software defects
- Analyze test results and contribute to continuous QA improvements
- Document automation workflows and clearly communicate technical findings
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, or related languages
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration
- Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment
