QA Analyst/Testing Engineer

Role Overview

QA Analyst / Testing Engineer (Big Data QA – Hadoop) at MNJ SOFTWARE. You will help ensure the quality and reliability of big data solutions by designing, developing, and implementing testing deliverables for custom projects and products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for big data solutions
• Execute testing for data analytics and data integration projects within timelines and budgets
• Collaborate with project leads, testers, customers, project/product managers, and designers to define testing approaches
• Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, and development discussions to ensure testability
• Review and validate test plans/cases with the core team and provide feedback
• Identify, document, and track defects to ensure timely resolution
• Establish and maintain processes that support and enhance analytics practices
• Perform load and performance testing to evaluate robustness under stress

Required Skills / Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience testing BI and analytics solutions
• Ability to write and execute integration test plans and test scenarios
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and big data technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Flume, Oozie
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large volumes of unstructured data
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and sequence files
• Familiarity with Hadoop cluster architecture and security protocols

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java, Python, and shell scripting
• Creating sample message sets, generating test data in Oracle, and writing load/stress testing scripts
