Role Overview

Python Solutions Engineer (Senior Python Developer)

Hands-on engineering role designing, building, and continuously improving complex enterprise-grade Python applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms. You’ll deliver secure, high-performance systems that run reliably in distributed, mission-critical production environments while partnering with product, data, and infrastructure teams to turn ambiguous business problems into robust technical solutions.

Location/Work model: 100% Remote (U.S.)

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design and development for complex Python systems, including advanced technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Develop secure, production-ready Python code; implement algorithms that work reliably in distributed systems, accounting for concurrency, fault-tolerance, and observability.
Create architecture/design artifacts and ensure implementation follows enterprise standards, performance requirements, and design constraints.
Build and optimize data processing pipelines for large datasets (ETL/validation/deduplication/enrichment) for batch and near-real-time workloads.
Gather and analyze datasets to drive continuous improvements in product performance, reliability, and/or cost.
Deliver reporting/operational insights via dashboards and data visualizations as needed.
Identify and fix hidden defects, performance bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses; improve coding standards, reliability, and maintainability.
Contribute to engineering best practices: peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentoring less-senior engineers.
Participate in Agile cycles and CI/CD with testing, rollback, and monitoring.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Data Science, Operations, Business Analysts) to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Support operational stability through incident response, debugging, log analysis, and post-incident reviews.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of applied Python development in enterprise-grade environments.

Nice-to-Haves (implied)

Strong fundamentals in software architecture, data engineering, and operational support.
Experience with Agile development and CI/CD practices.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and raise engineering standards.
