About the role
Role Overview
Join a remote team as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract) to help train next-generation AI systems. You’ll use strong engineering skills to shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality real-world inputs.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features and refactor existing codebases for maintainability.
- Debug complex software issues and deliver reliable solutions.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ideally in remote settings.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to software best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Additional experience with C++ or Go is a strong asset.
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience developing features and refactoring codebases.
- Strong debugging skills for complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale distributed codebases.
- Familiarity with modern AI / machine learning systems (not required).
- Track record contributing to best practices through code reviews.
