Role overview
Join YO AI Labs as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract, Remote) to help train next-generation AI systems. You’ll contribute with high-quality engineering to shape how models learn, reason, and perform, based on real-world input.
Responsibilities
- Apply strong software engineering skills to support feature development for AI-related systems
- Perform codebase refactoring and develop maintainable solutions
- Debug complex issues and improve reliability/quality
- Optimize performance and scalability of software components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including remote stakeholders
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and help establish best practices
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript
- Experience with at least one additional language among C++ or Go (considered a strong asset)
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Demonstrated performance tuning experience
- Proven ability to deliver maintainable solutions and refactor codebases
- Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Experience with large-scale, distributed codebases
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML systems (not required)
