About the role
Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Contract, Remote) working on training next-generation AI systems. You’ll help models learn and perform using high-quality, real-world inputs, leveraging advanced software engineering skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve features in production codebases
- Refactor and maintain existing code
- Debug complex software issues and deliver robust solutions
- Optimize performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to best practices
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript
- Experience with at least one additional language: C++ or Go is a strong asset
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning
- Proven ability to debug complex issues and write maintainable code
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to Haves
- Experience with large-scale, distributed codebases
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML systems (not required)
- Experience contributing to software engineering best practices via code reviews
