Role overview

Senior Software Engineer (Contract) — Remote Join a customer team to help train next-generation AI systems. You’ll use real-world inputs to shape how models learn, reason, and perform, applying strong engineering fundamentals to build maintainable, high-performance software. No prior AI experience is required—your domain knowledge as an engineer is what matters.

Responsibilities

Develop features and refactor codebases to improve maintainability
Perform debugging of complex software issues and deliver robust solutions
Optimize software for performance and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including in remote settings
Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to software best practices

Requirements

Proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript (primary)
Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
Experience with performance tuning
Demonstrated ability to deliver maintainable solutions and refactor effectively
Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
Track record of success in collaborative, cross-functional teams

Nice to have

Experience with large-scale distributed codebases
Familiarity with modern AI/ML systems
Background with C++ or Go (as an additional asset)
Experience improving engineering standards through code reviews
