About the role
Role Overview
Join YO AI Labs’ customer team as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract, Remote). You’ll help train next-generation AI systems by building and improving high-quality software that influences how models learn, reason, and perform—without requiring prior AI experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop features and refactor existing codebases to improve maintainability
- Debug complex software issues and deliver reliable solutions
- Optimize systems for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ideally in remote settings
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to best practices
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript (at least one primary)
- Additional experience with C++ or Go is a strong asset
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Proven ability to perform performance tuning
- Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale distributed codebases
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML systems (not required)
