About the role
Role Overview
Join YO AI Labs’ customer team as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract, Remote) to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will focus on delivering high-quality, real-world inputs that improve how models learn, reason, and perform.
Responsibilities
- Develop features and refactor codebases to improve maintainability
- Debug complex software and deliver reliable solutions
- Optimize performance and scalability of software systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Participate in rigorous code reviews and help advance software best practices
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python 3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript (choose one primary)
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production-level complexity and ship maintainable code
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale distributed codebases
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML systems (not required)
- Additional experience with C++ or Go is considered a strong asset
