About the role
Role Overview
X4 Engineering is partnering with an AI infrastructure start-up building a global, real-time communication layer for AI agents. As a Python Developer, you’ll integrate major AI frameworks and LLM providers so millions of agents can communicate seamlessly.
Responsibilities
- Build integrations across multiple third-party AI frameworks and platforms.
- Design and implement high-performance, high-throughput APIs and microservices.
- Enable interoperability by implementing communication standards and protocols for AI agent messaging.
- Integrate with LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI and AWS Bedrock).
- Scale and deploy services on AWS (or other major cloud platforms).
Requirements
- 6+ years of strong Python development.
- Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and asynchronous programming using asyncio.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML agent frameworks, especially LangChain, Crew.AI, AutoGen, or similar.
- Track record building/integrating with LLM providers such as OpenAI and AWS Bedrock.
- Experience designing APIs/microservices at high throughput.
- Experience scaling/deploying on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
- Understanding of AI agent communication protocols and standards.

- Strong passion for the AI space and motivation to advance what AI agents can do.
