Python Developer

Role Overview

Lead Python Developer (Reporting Solutions) on Aetna’s Sales Enablement team within CVS Health. You will design, build, and maintain analytics and reporting capabilities that support strategic business objectives, with a focus on healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Build reporting and analytics solutions using healthcare data (medical, pharmacy, and lab information).
• Develop self-service business applications for clinical and analytic needs using Plotly Dash Enterprise.
• Modernize and automate analytics processes using Python and cloud-native technologies.
• Refactor legacy codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and compatibility with modern systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Define and implement new technical capabilities for healthcare business initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain applications/production processes to ensure reliability and performance.
• Mentor peers and drive knowledge sharing and technical growth.

Requirements

• 3+ years professional experience with Python in data engineering/software engineering and data management.
• 3+ years experience with SQL and working in a data warehouse environment.
• Proficiency with Python data/analytics libraries: Polars, NumPy, Pandas.
• Experience handling XML, JSON, and YAML formats.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of AI prompting tools such as Copilot and Claude.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant professional training/qualifications.
