Role Overview

Senior Python Engineer for the Data Platform (Remote)

You’ll join the Data Distribution team to design and optimize a modern enterprise data platform that supports core investment functions including research, trading, analytics, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data platforms and services
Develop and optimize end-to-end data pipelines (ingestion → validation → delivery)
Build high-performance APIs and data transfer systems
Improve data architecture and create data-driven applications and services
Ensure data quality, consistency, speed, scalability, and reliability
Support production systems (reliability, availability, performance) and troubleshoot live environments
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documentation
Participate in code reviews and system design discussions
Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams

Requirements

5+ years of Python experience (open-source ecosystem preferred)
Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets
Experience building APIs and distributed systems
Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and pipelines
Strong software design principles (e.g., SOLID, DDD)
Ability to write well-tested, maintainable code
Security best practices knowledge
Comfortable working in Agile/fast-paced environments

Nice to Haves

Experience with modern enterprise data platform technologies and architecture (implied by role scope)
