Role Overview

Python Developer (Hourly Contract, Remote) You will build and integrate MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers in Python for the RL Studio platform, ensuring applications run correctly in sandboxed environments and meet platform validation and deployment standards.

Responsibilities

• Build MCP servers in Python using FastMCP for the RL Studio platform
• Integrate web or desktop applications into sandbox environments
• Work with APIs, Docker, Linux, and service configuration files
• Implement populate and snapshot hooks for application state management
• Test applications locally and debug issues related to build, runtime, and permissions
• Ensure applications meet platform validation and deployment requirements

Requirements

• Strong Python programming experience
• Strong experience with APIs and backend systems, including debugging
• Familiarity with Docker and Linux, plus local testing workflows
• Strong experience handling configuration files and deployment pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with FastMCP or similar frameworks
• Experience integrating third-party applications or developer tools
• Experience with web applications, databases, or containerized environments
