Python Developer

Role Overview

Senior Python Developer with expertise in Generative AI to support banking technology initiatives. You will build secure, scalable, AI-driven applications for document processing, risk analytics, and compliance reporting, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement object-oriented Python applications using sound engineering practices.
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines and GenAI lifecycle workflows, including:
  • chunking, embedding, retrieval, re-ranking, summarization
• Design and optimize embedding storage and retrieval using vector databases.
• Evaluate and test embedding models for high performance, low latency, and cost efficiency.
• Apply prompt engineering and implement hallucination mitigation/grounding for AI safety and reliability.
• Develop API-driven applications using FastAPI and integrate with MongoDB and Redis.
• Create utilities, automation frameworks, and data pipelines to support AI/ML initiatives.
• Develop monitoring dashboards and automation scripts to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and deployment using Git-based workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development, strong focus on Python.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
• Strong understanding of GenAI lifecycle management and RAG pipelines.
• Experience with vector databases.
• Hands-on API development with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and Redis.
• Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including OpenShift.
• Enterprise DevOps tool experience including Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Ansible.
• Ability to work effectively in regulated environments and collaborate across disciplines.

Nice to Have

• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience with serverless architectures.
• AI safety techniques such as prompt engineering and hallucination mitigation.
