About the role

Role Overview

As a Python Developer (fully remote within the United States), you’ll build and enhance scalable product features and services. You’ll strengthen continuous delivery capabilities and support reliable, secure software development in a globally distributed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, developers, and QA to design, develop, and deliver new product functionality.
  • Build and maintain Python-based applications and services with clean code and scalability best practices.
  • Develop and improve automated testing to ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Support continuous delivery by improving secure, efficient deployment workflows.
  • Use cloud technologies (AWS) to develop and optimize scalable application components.
  • Troubleshoot issues, improve existing functionality, and contribute to platform enhancements.
  • Participate in Agile development (planning, reviews, and iterative delivery).
  • Communicate clearly with distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Propose improvements to engineering processes and product quality.

Requirements

  • Medium to extensive professional experience building applications in Python.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices and automated testing/quality-focused development.
  • Experience with AWS, including (examples): Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Events, Step Functions (or similar).
  • Ability to work effectively with remote/distributed engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and the ability to explain solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • PHP and Drupal experience.
  • Terraform or other infrastructure automation tools.
