Role Overview

Contract Python Software Engineer (Fully Remote) for a short engagement helping AI research labs with model training and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex, production-grade Python systems.
• Build modular, testable codebases using modern Python tooling and best practices (including FastAPI and Pydantic).
• Optimize performance via profiling and Python memory management.
• Collaborate asynchronously with leading foundational model AI labs to improve model training and evaluation.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and enhance AI model performance.

Requirements

• Experience working at top US tech firms.
• Proven track record delivering complex Python systems.
• Strong fundamentals in Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and Pydantic and modern Python best practices.

Interview Process

• 90-minute human interview focused on Python.
• No AI IDE allowed (LLMs and Stack Overflow permitted).
