Role Overview

FetchJobs.co is hiring a Python Developer at Iris Software Inc. You will design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications aligned to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software applications based on project specifications and business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, QA testers)
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Perform testing and debugging to ensure functionality, performance, and security
• Maintain and update existing applications to improve functionality and address issues
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proven software development experience with proficiency in Python (also mentions Java, C#, or JavaScript)
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and version control
• Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously upgrade technical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiple languages/frameworks (Java, C#, JavaScript) and modern tooling aligned with Agile development
