Role Overview

Backend Python Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native backend services for healthcare platforms. You will develop secure, high-performance APIs and distributed systems, including integrations with ML models and LLMs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services using Python
  • Build cloud-native distributed systems and microservices
  • Implement backend integrations with ML models and LLMs
  • Design secure REST APIs and backend components
  • Optimize scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with architects, data engineers, ML engineers, and QA
  • Follow CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support best practices

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of backend software development experience
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Cloud-native application design and development
  • Backend integration experience with ML models or LLMs
  • REST APIs and Microservices
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD
  • SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • PHI/HIPAA-compliant data handling practices
  • Knowledge of HL7 ADT message format
  • Recent experience in the healthcare data domain

Nice to Have

  • AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • FHIR interoperability
  • Kafka or event-driven architecture
  • Databricks / modern data platforms
