Role Overview

Python Developer (Remote, PST) A 6-month contract focused on migrating and refactoring existing Python logic into Golang services owned by other teams.

Responsibilities

Migrate and refactor existing Python logic into Golang services maintained by other teams.
Rapidly learn internal tools, systems, and processes to accelerate migration.
Collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Debug complex issues quickly and provide clear, actionable solutions.
Write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code with thorough validation.
Improve migration tooling by identifying and implementing enhancements.

Requirements

5+ years of backend development experience in a fast-moving environment.
Strong expertise in Golang and Python.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Quick learner who can pick up unfamiliar tools/systems.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for distributed teams.

Nice-to-haves

Experience improving or owning parts of migration tooling (implied by responsibilities).
