About the role

Role Overview

WillWare Technologies is hiring a Python Backend Developer with 10+ years of experience to build and integrate backend services in a remote setup (shift: 5:30 PM - 1:30 AM IST).

Responsibilities

Build backend services and business logic using Python, integrating with databases and/or data lakes.
Deliver projects end-to-end and implement system integrations.
Work with AWS services to design and operate cloud-based components.
Develop and optimize functionalities using Oracle or Postgres, including data-heavy workloads.
Implement integrations involving search capabilities with Elasticsearch (or similar search engines).
Contribute to ETL/data pipeline development.
Collaborate with teams and stakeholders; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

10+ years in software/backend development.
Python for services/business logic.
SQL and PL/SQL.
AWS expertise: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Kinesis, IAM, API Gateway (and others).
Hands-on with Oracle or Postgres.
Experience with GitLab/GitHub or AWS CodePipeline.
Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Solid understanding of Docker and cloud architecture best practices.
Experience with Elasticsearch (or similar search engine).

Nice-to-haves

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Agile/Scrum experience.
Familiarity with networking, security, and Kubernetes/containerization tools.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing onshore/offshore delivery.
Prior experience with ETL pipelines.

Soft Skills

Team collaboration and strong decision-making/analytical thinking.
