About the role

Role Overview

You will be a PropTech Developer on the Legendary Homes team at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty (via Joinrs), building and scaling innovative digital solutions for the real estate industry. This is a fully remote role focused on developing platforms that streamline transactions, support asset management, and enhance experiences for buyers, sellers, and operators.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable PropTech applications (e.g., property management systems, listing platforms, transaction tools).
Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and data pipelines connecting real estate platforms, CRMs, and third-party services.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Optimize performance, security, and reliability across cloud environments.
Implement data-driven features such as property analytics, valuation models, or smart search.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
1+ year of software development experience (preferably PropTech, FinTech, or marketplaces).
Proficiency in modern languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
Frontend frameworks (React, Vue) and/or backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Spring).
Strong experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience working in remote, agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with real estate data systems (MLS integrations, property datasets, geospatial data).
Knowledge of GIS or mapping technologies.
Exposure to AI/ML for real estate (pricing, recommendations, forecasting).
Understanding of real estate workflows (leasing, transactions, asset management).
DevOps practices: CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
