About the role

Role Overview

Joveo AI is hiring a Programmatic Engineer to build the real-time bidding (RTB) engine and supporting programmatic infrastructure at the core of its recruitment advertising platform. You will engineer systems that participate in live ad auctions, make bid decisions in milliseconds, and optimize outcomes across billions of impressions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and optimize real-time bidding engines and auction decision systems
Integrate with ad exchanges, DSPs, and SSPs using OpenRTB and related protocols
Develop bid pricing, pacing, and budget management algorithms
Build campaign delivery systems including targeting, frequency capping, and optimization
Ensure reliability and latency compliance under RTB timeout constraints
Collaborate with data science teams on ML-driven bid optimization models

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience building programmatic advertising or RTB systems
Strong backend engineering in performance-sensitive languages: Go, Java, C++, or Rust
Deep knowledge of OpenRTB and the programmatic ecosystem
Experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems at scale
Familiarity with campaign delivery concepts: pacing, bidding strategy, optimization
Comfort with real-time data pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Flink)

Nice-to-Haves

Direct experience combining RTB systems with ML model optimization for bidding decisions
