About the role
Role Overview
Program Manager (Product Operations) at Modern Health, supporting product and technical initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, and Data. You’ll bring structure and clarity to fast-moving workstreams, improving alignment and operational processes across teams.
Key Missions / Responsibilities
- Program-manage product and technical initiatives from scoping through launch and post-launch follow-through.
- Create and maintain project plans, map cross-team dependencies, and ensure initiatives stay on a predictable timeline.
- Track risks and issues; drive resolution and escalation when needed.
- Turn ambiguous requests (business, clinical, or partner) into crisp requirements, actionable decisions, and clear next steps.
- Improve alignment, communication, and processes between Product/Tech and the broader business.
Requirements
- 3+ years in program management, project management, or operations in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Strong fundamentals in planning, sequencing, milestones, dependency tracking, and risk management with high attention to detail.
- A documentation- and systems-minded approach (templates/playbooks and repeatable processes).
- Comfortable with ambiguity: asks sharp questions, proposes solutions, and knows when to escalate.
- Comfortable with the technical side: understanding of product development lifecycles, integrations, APIs, and data (not necessarily coding).
- Strong collaboration skills with empathy and accountability; supports teammates and gives/receives direct feedback.
- Clear communicator who provides proactive visibility, runs effective meetings, and captures decisions/action items.
- Growth-minded; seeks feedback and aims to lead larger, more complex programs end-to-end.
- Ability to maintain work authorization for the duration of employment (no immigration sponsorship).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in digital health or with health-related products/services/partnerships.
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment.
- Familiarity with modern product/engineering tools such as Jira or Linear, Confluence or Notion, plus analytics/dashboarding tools.
