• Fully remote from Germany or abroad (German working hours) or hybrid from Hanover, Munich, or Leipzig
• Earliest start date: 01.08.2027
• Teaching load: 18 SWS

Responsibilities

• Program development: Contribute to the Bachelor’s program Digital Business and Transformation and assist with student recruitment.
• Masterclasses & expert seminars: Deliver live instruction in business information systems, business analytics, applied AI, and data engineering in English.
• Student supervision & assessment: Supervise and mentor students for projects and research; design and evaluate portfolio assessments, exams, and bachelor’s theses.
• Applied research & transfer: Conduct practice-oriented research and transfer projects in business analytics, applied AI, and data-driven decision-making, in cooperation with industry and research institutions.
• Funding & cooperation: Initiate research collaborations and acquire third-party funding to strengthen applied research.
• Publications & representation: Publish research results in academic journals and conferences; represent the university at specialist and industry events.
• Transfer & ecosystem building: Be willing to contribute to research-related product developments, founding/start-up ventures, and support patent applications.
• University development: Contribute to academic self-governance, further develop study program offerings, and participate in international collaboration.

Requirements (qualification requirements)

• A completed university degree.
• Pedagogical-didactic aptitude confirmed through practical experience.
• Special aptitude for independent scholarly work, generally evidenced by an above-average doctorate in business information systems, computer science, data science, or related fields.
• Special achievements in application or development of scientific findings/methods over at least five years of professional practice, with at least three years outside higher education (preferably in data analytics, business intelligence, AI, or information systems roles in industry).

Additional expectations

• Ability and willingness to conduct teaching, research, and transfer activities in English.
• Willingness to develop and further build higher-education teaching competencies.
