Production Lead

Role overview

As Production Lead on Envato’s Brand and Creative team, you will drive end-to-end production delivery—from initial brief to final assets. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll coordinate internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to keep projects on track, remove blockers, and adapt to shifting priorities. You’ll also help build and scale production workflows by blending traditional coordination with AI-driven tooling.

Responsibilities

• Drive project delivery: Coordinate multiple concurrent creative and marketing projects, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time.
• Manage resource workflows: Create flexible project timelines and proactively balance team capacity as priorities change.
• Optimize operational systems: Continuously refine production workflows to simplify processes, remove bottlenecks, and keep the team agile.
• Partner with stakeholders: Work with internal project leads to manage expectations, solve delivery challenges, and provide clear project visibility.
• Oversee budgets and resources: Manage production spend, vendor relationships, and freelance contracts to scale content production.
• Embed AI efficiencies: Partner with the AI Ops team to test and integrate automation tools that reduce manual work.

Requirements

• Creative production background: Demonstrated experience managing creative workflows in an internal marketing/creative team environment.
• Systems mindset: Strong proficiency with database-driven project management tools, preferably Airtable or similar.
• Adaptable growth mindset: Resilient and motivated to evolve production processes as the business scales.
• AI curiosity: Practical interest in emerging AI tools and ability to use them to improve operational efficiency.
• Communication skills: Confident relationship builder who can navigate competing priorities, negotiate deadlines, and influence cross-functional outcomes.
• Delivery & budget focus: Experience managing production budgets, external vendors, and freelance talent.

Compensation & work style
