Product Security Tech Lead

Role Overview

Hands-on Product Security Technical Lead to design, implement, and evolve the company’s security engineering program. You will lead Security Engineers and harden TetraScience’s SaaS and data platforms by identifying vulnerabilities, building secure infrastructure, and integrating protection across CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the organization’s application security posture, spanning application and cloud security across product lines
• Perform offensive and defensive security work: threat modeling, code review, penetration testing, and vulnerability exploitation
• Build and integrate automated security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, IaC scanning)
• Develop security automation/internal tools using Python (Bash or Go a plus)
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure to ensure secure AWS architectures (e.g., VPC, IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, WAF)
• Lead incident response and perform root-cause analysis for security events
• Define and enforce secure coding standards and run threat modeling for critical features/services
• Continuously hunt for vulnerabilities and test assumptions to strengthen the platform (“break things safely”)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in application, cloud, or product security roles with lead/staff-level responsibilities
• Deep expertise in AWS security architecture and service hardening
• Strong programming/scripting ability in Python (Bash or Go a plus)
• Proven offensive security experience (hacking, exploit analysis, red team operations)
• Strong foundation in vulnerability management, threat modeling, and incident response
• Proficiency with DevSecOps tools and modern CI/CD environments
• Familiarity with container/orchestration security (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, OSCP, or CISSP
