About the role
Product Reliability Engineer (Full Remote)
Join Normal Computing to help ensure product reliability in complex technical environments. You’ll partner with engineering and product teams to automate validation workflows, identify failure modes, and improve how reliability is built into the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Automate validation and reliability systems across key product workflow paths.
- Collaborate with product/engineering to understand user workflows, define expected behavior, and uncover reliability gaps.
- Use modern AI and agentic tools to speed up:
- test generation
- debugging
- validation
- quality workflows.
- Build and scale reliability tooling and validation frameworks.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of software quality and reliability, including how complex systems fail.
- Strong scripting and automation skills; can write clean, practical code for repetitive/complex workflows.
- Experience building automated tests, validation frameworks, regression suites, or internal reliability tooling.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize high-impact reliability work, and build scalable systems.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving technical environments and partnering closely with engineering teams.
- Strong debugging instincts and ability to turn ambiguous issues into clear technical problems.
- Experience with QA automation / test engineering / reliability engineering / software engineering.
- Experience with CI/CD, release validation, observability, and/or production reliability workflows.
- Experience using AI coding tools or agentic workflows to improve testing, debugging, or development velocity.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience testing developer tools, infrastructure products, EDA tools, ML systems, or other complex technical software.
- Experience using LLMs/agents to generate tests, validate outputs, reproduce bugs, or automate QA workflows.
- Experience in startups or small engineering teams with broad ownership.
