About the role
Product Owner Overview
As a Product Owner, you will maximize product value and guide the Delivery Team by clearly defining, prioritizing, and maintaining a transparent Product Backlog.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the Product Goal and ensure it drives backlog priorities.
- Manage and maintain a visible, transparent, and clear Product Backlog; continually re-evaluate customer needs.
- Prioritize work to best achieve goals across maintenance and strategic initiatives.
- Measure and track business value; optimize value of the Development Team’s work.
- Review features as they are developed and provide feedback and guidance.
- Define epics and user stories, including:
- Acceptance Criteria
- Definition of Done
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives (Scrum events).
- Support iteration planning and backlog refinement; ensure the Delivery Team understands backlog items to the needed level.
- Represent a broad set of stakeholders (Senior Management, business/technology teams, customers, suppliers, partners) as the voice of the customer.
- Coordinate with other Product Owners and Product Executives to align product vision and backlog to program plans.
- Align with the Outcome Based Product Roadmap and OKRs.
- Spotlight cross-product dependencies to support seamless delivery.
- Embody Scrum values (Openness, Respect, Courage, Commitment, Focus).
Requirements
- 6+ years experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment (user stories, iterative development, Scrum teams, sprints, personas).
- Ability to write clear, precise Scrum user stories.
- Strong bias for action; comfortable working in ambiguous, changing environments.
- Experience with Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Agile facilitation background.
Preferred
- Product Innovation, Design Thinking and/or CX/UX experience.
- Strong Agile/Scrum development background.
- Familiarity working in a SaaS environment.
- PSM/PSPO or SAFe POPM certifications.
Compensation
- $108,479 – $146,447 annually (bonus/sales incentive may be available depending on eligibility).
