Product Owner

Role: Product Owner (Product Owner)

Own the team backlog and translate product strategy into high-quality, scalable Record-to-Report (R2R) cloud capabilities. Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX, QA, and stakeholders to ensure delivery is clear, valuable, usable, and aligned to customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

Backlog Ownership & Delivery Execution

• Own, prioritize, and manage the team backlog aligned to product strategy and business outcomes.
• Convert initiatives into well-defined user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning; support Agile ceremonies.
• Make day-to-day prioritization decisions to maximize value and minimize delivery risk.
• Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and user outcome goals.

Customer Value & Product Understanding

• Represent the voice of the customer by understanding user workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product Management using customer feedback, data insights, and market needs.
• Validate delivered functionality solves the right problem and provides measurable value.
• Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and customer experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Primary point of contact for Engineering and QA for backlog clarity and decisions.
• Partner with UX to ensure intuitive, consistent user experiences.
• Coordinate with Customer Success, Support, and Services to understand customer impact and enable successful releases.

Quality & Delivery Excellence

• Ensure user stories are complete, testable, and aligned with expected outcomes.
• Partner with QA for appropriate test coverage and quality standards.
• Participate in feature validation and user acceptance for release readiness.
• Reduce rework, ambiguity, and delivery inefficiencies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a SaaS environment.
• Proven experience owning/managing a backlog for a cross-functional Agile team.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and product delivery practices.
• Ability to break down complex problems into actionable work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in finance, reconciliation, or enterprise SaaS domains.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence (or similar tools).
• Exposure to product analytics, A/B testing, or data-driven decision-making.
