Product Owner

Role Overview

Trintech is looking for a Product Owner to help deliver customer-focused, outcome-driven product capabilities in its Record-to-Report (R2R) cloud platform. You will own and prioritize the team backlog and translate product strategy into well-defined, high-quality work delivered by cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Backlog Ownership & Delivery Execution

  • Own, prioritize, and manage the team backlog aligned to product strategy and business outcomes
  • Translate initiatives into user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and support Agile ceremonies
  • Make day-to-day prioritization decisions to maximize value and reduce delivery risk
  • Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and intended user outcomes

• Customer Value & Product Understanding

  • Represent the voice of the customer by understanding workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with Product Management using customer feedback, data insights, and market needs
  • Validate functionality solves the right problem and delivers measurable value
  • Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and customer experience

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Primary point of contact for Engineering and QA on backlog clarity and decisions
  • Partner with UX to ensure intuitive, consistent user experiences
  • Work with Customer Success, Support, and Services to understand customer impact and release readiness
  • Collaborate with Product Management to align strategy with execution

• Quality & Delivery Excellence

  • Ensure user stories are complete, testable, and aligned to expected outcomes
  • Partner with QA on appropriate test coverage and quality standards
  • Participate in feature validation and user acceptance for release readiness
  • Reduce rework, ambiguity, and delivery inefficiencies

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a SaaS environment
• Proven ability to own and manage a backlog for a cross-functional Agile team
• Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and product delivery practices
• Ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable work
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in finance, reconciliation, or enterprise SaaS
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Exposure to product analytics, A/B testing, or data-driven decision-making
