Product Owner

Role: Product Owner

Own and prioritize the team backlog while translating product strategy into valuable, scalable Record-to-Report (R2R) cloud capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Backlog ownership & delivery execution:
  • Own, prioritize, and manage the team backlog aligned to product strategy and business outcomes.
  • Translate initiatives into well-defined user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning; support Agile ceremonies.
  • Make day-to-day prioritization decisions to maximize value and reduce delivery risk.
  • Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and intended user outcomes.
• Customer value & product understanding:
  • Represent the voice of the customer by understanding user workflows, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to refine features using customer feedback, data insights, and market needs.
  • Validate that functionality solves the right problem and delivers measurable value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve usability, adoption, and customer experience.
• Cross-functional collaboration:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering and QA for backlog clarity and decisions.
  • Partner with UX to ensure intuitive, consistent user experiences.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success, Support, and Services to understand customer impact and release readiness.
  • Align execution with Product Management’s strategy.
• Quality & delivery excellence:
  • Ensure user stories are complete, testable, and outcome-aligned.
  • Partner with QA on test coverage and quality standards.
  • Participate in feature validation and user acceptance for release readiness.
  • Reduce rework, ambiguity, and delivery inefficiencies.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar in a SaaS environment.
• Proven experience managing a cross-functional Agile team backlog.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and product delivery practices.
• Ability to break down complex problems into actionable work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in finance, reconciliation, or enterprise SaaS.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Exposure to product analytics, A/B testing, or data-driven decision-making.
