Product Owner (Banking)

Overview

Themesoft Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Owner to support a remote team in the banking domain. You will act as the connection between business stakeholders and delivery teams, translating business needs into epics, stories, and an executable product backlog.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clear and actionable.
Refine and prioritize the product backlog by breaking down requirements into:
- Epics, Stories, and tasks
Lead sprint planning and quarterly planning.
Manage team velocity and capacity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Guide teams on traditional Agile practices and related planning, tracking, and reporting tools.
Interface with banking operations teams; experience with teller/banker tools is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in product ownership or business analysis in the banking domain.
Strong Agile background (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint planning, capacity management).
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements (Epics/Stories).
Familiarity with banking operations, products, or software tools for tellers and bankers.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with banker/teller tools.
