About the role

Role overview

Product Owner (Senior Product Owner – IT Observability & Monitoring) Own and drive the enterprise observability strategy—bridging technical IT operations with business value through real-time visibility into application performance, system health, and service availability.

Responsibilities

Define product vision & roadmap: Lead strategy for technical monitoring and alerting capabilities, advancing enterprise-wide observability.
Internal product marketing: Champion the product by creating positioning and value propositions to drive adoption across IT and business teams.
Stakeholder & backlog management: Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate needs into clear, prioritized backlogs.
Value delivery & product metrics: Ensure features improve system uptime, user experience, and operational efficiency; own relevant product metrics.
Agile leadership: Guide discovery and sprint planning while balancing technical feasibility with business goals.

Requirements

Experience: 4+ years in cross-functional Business vs. IT environments; 2+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or IT Relationship Management role.
Observability knowledge: Modern observability practices including monitoring, alerting, and performance metrics.
Strategic prioritization: Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to make priority decisions and manage complex dependencies.
Communication: Strong presentation skills; ability to align and “sell” the vision to engineers and executives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business (or equivalent experience).

Preferred qualifications

Platform experience with Dynatrace
Knowledge of workflow automation and/or DevOps integration
Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO or similar)
Deep proficiency in Azure DevOps (or similar Agile delivery tools)

Location & schedule

Hybrid: Remote most of the week, but must be local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area.
On-site: 1 day per week at the corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
