Product Owner

Role: Product Owner (Custom Development)

Serve as the bridge between customer needs and technical execution on the Custom Development team. Own delivery of custom integrations that create measurable client value and support SoftPro’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Own your area of the product

  • Lead and participate across the software development lifecycle for assigned custom integrations.
  • Maintain vision and clarity for your product area(s) in line with the overall product mission.
  • Act as SME for integrations, ensuring alignment with customer workflows and business goals.
  • Demo integrations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration delivery.
  • Review/create integration design mockups (lo-fi and/or hi-fi) for consistency.

• Understand your customer

  • Develop deep understanding of title and escrow workflows.
  • Run customer calls/interactions to identify needs and validate requirements and initial designs.
  • Validate features meet customer needs; be the voice of the customer to development teams.

• Own your backlog

  • Maintain a groomed, prioritized backlog.
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure readiness for development and alignment with roadmap priorities.
  • Run backlog refinement at least weekly and help set project milestones for quarterly planning.
  • Coordinate with Product Management and stakeholders on a long-term plan.
  • Forecast release dates and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Product Manager, Development, and Architecture to prioritize ongoing maintenance and leverage technical advancements.

• Guide and influence your team

  • Represent the customer during Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives).
  • Act as a liaison between the team, product manager, stakeholders, end-users, business, and customers.

Location / Remote Policy

• Raleigh, NC (offices/hybrid) or remote (must be able to work East Coast hours).
