About the role

Role Overview

Product Owner, Sharpen (McGraw Hill Higher Education) will join the Platform & Product Delivery team to shape and deliver the platform strategy for the higher education market.

What You’ll Do

Drive product strategy and innovation, contributing to the overall product vision.
Conduct market and user research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.
Define and refine requirements and roadmaps for platform builds and customer experiences.
Lead technical feature direction in collaboration with engineering and technology product managers, including:
- Adaptive learning
- Personalization
- Recommendations
Partner with data science teams to refine models and improve outcomes.
Align cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Design, GTM) to deliver AI-driven experiences and support go-to-market execution.
Measure in-field performance against KPIs tied to usage and quality of user experience, and implement improvement strategies.
Partner with your director on what the product team builds, the investment required, and the KPIs for platform success.

What You Can Bring

Bachelor’s degree.
5–7 years of product management experience delivering web and mobile products/features.
Experience managing multiple projects to deadline and budget simultaneously.
Proven ability to design and conduct user research plans.
Data-driven mindset, able to analyze and synthesize financial, usage, and/or research data to guide strategy.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working with AI-driven experiences and collaborating with data science teams (implied by responsibilities).
