About the role

Role Overview

SciSure is looking for a Product Owner to drive delivery of key product initiatives across its Scientific Management Platform (SMP). You’ll work at the intersection of product strategy and engineering execution, focusing on the Health and Bio Safety domain (including biosafety workflows, risk assessments, regulatory reporting, and procurement integration with prior approval workflows).

Responsibilities

Own and prioritize the product backlog across initiatives such as procurement integrations, biosafety workflows, and regulatory reporting.
Translate product/customer requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Keep backlog ready by removing ambiguity and preparing items for upcoming sprints.
Define and enforce definition of done, quality gates, and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
Partner with engineering and design to align on scope and requirements.
Track delivery, identify blockers, and drive timely resolution.
Track progress using Jira and Confluence.
Support end-to-end initiative delivery from scoping → MVP/Beta → General Availability.
Define functional and technical requirements, including integration specifications and third-party dependencies.
Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
Ensure complete, accurate documentation throughout delivery.
Build domain knowledge in scientific workflows, biosafety, and regulated environments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of product delivery practices and agile processes.
Collaborate on AI-enabled product features and workflows as part of an AI-first strategy.

Requirements

3–6 years experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager / Business Analyst (or similar) in a SaaS/software product environment.
Strong agile experience with backlog management and sprint execution.
Proven ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience delivering products across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Familiarity with integration-heavy products (APIs, third-party systems, data flows).
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and QA/product development best practices.
Ability to communicate effectively across business, technical, and customer audiences.

Nice to Have

Experience with life sciences/biotech/lab systems or regulated environments.
Exposure to procurement systems, compliance workflows, or enterprise SaaS.
Domain exposure to compliance, procurement, and regulated workflows.
