Role Overview

Product Marketing Specialist / Product Owner (Remote)

You will primarily act as a Product Owner with technical marketing exposure, bridging Marketing and Product/Development. The role focuses on translating product updates into clear messaging, coordinating releases, and supporting digital customer experience initiatives.

Location / Work Mode

  • Remote (preferred EST/CST time zones)
  • Assignment duration: ~ 12 months

Responsibilities

Product Marketing

  • Partner with the product development team to understand features/enhancements and translate them into targeted customer messaging.
  • Write, edit, and manage content across marketing materials, web, and customer-facing online accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with brand/product standards.
  • Develop and execute marketing processes for product releases, coordinating multi-stakeholder involvement.
  • Communicate product updates to customers by collaborating cross-functionally across teams.

Content Creation and Optimization

  • Create and optimize content to support customers, prospects, and partners; expand reach to new audiences and delivery channels.
  • Write/edit/review copy aligned with brand voice and style guide.
  • Collaborate on website content and design/functionality to meet brand requirements and audience needs, incorporating evolving SEO/AEO best practices.
  • Manage projects through development stages including review, approval, and execution.
  • Build project briefs and communication plans with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders.

Day-to-Day Focus

  • Join the content team and work closely with Product, Development, UX, Media, and other stakeholder teams to support website enhancements and product/digital experience initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business administration, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, and/or product marketing.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience working with technical product development teams, including support for product roadmaps, feature planning, and release cycles.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable handling shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console).
  • Familiarity with AEO principles and AI-driven search behavior.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Workfront or similar project management tools.
