Product Owner (Remote)

Work closely with a software development team and business stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and drive execution of software development work.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO), building understanding of active work items.
• Gather and interpret requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear work items (e.g., bugs, PBIs, features, research spikes).
• Explain the what and why behind work items to support refinement and sizing.
• Improve product knowledge by learning how the business uses and integrates systems.
• Partner with the technical BA and development team to close technical gaps.
• Collaborate to prioritize and organize the backlog for transparency and timely delivery of high-value work.
• Support product roadmap planning through priority-setting and vision discussions.
• Test completed work against Acceptance Criteria and help coordinate smooth releases with stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues and respond to stakeholder inquiries; escalate when necessary.
• Attend daily and weekly development meetings and contribute according to the team’s working agreement.

Requirements

• Experience working with Agile methodologies and/or software development processes and project management (preferred).
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for both team and stakeholder alignment.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with willingness to seek guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to grow.

Remote Work Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet (preferred: cable/fiber; at least 75 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up).
• Home router/modem, dedicated quiet workspace, strong Wi‑Fi or wired Ethernet (wired preferred).
• Valid physical address required for equipment delivery (no PO boxes).
• Ability to collaborate via chat/video.
• Legal residency in one of the listed states (includes PA).
• No H-1B sponsorship; W2 only.
