Role Overview

Product Owner (Remote)

• Contract length: 8-month contract, likely extend ~1 additional year
• Environment: Scrum or SAFe

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog and product delivery in a Scrum/SAFe environment
• Design and improve operational/internal tools or operational products (e.g., workflow design)
• Work on automation, event handling, and related operational capabilities
• Ensure operational correctness, understand failure modes, and protect operational trust
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and internal-user communities
• Manage competing priorities and make trade-off decisions with clear communication to leadership

Requirements (Required Qualifications)

• Hands-on Product Owner / backlog owner experience in Scrum or SAFe
• Experience with internal-tools or operational products, including:
  • Workflow design
  • Automation
  • Event handling
  • Data quality’s role in operational trust
• Strong technical aptitude and extreme attention to detail around operational correctness and platform failure modes
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting to leadership
• Cross-functional stakeholder management experience with operations/internal users
• Ability to manage competing priorities, make trade-offs, and communicate rationale
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

• Experience owning products for 24/7 operational user communities
• Experience with event, alarm, or incident management platforms (alarm rationalization, event routing, escalation workflows)
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure (power, environmental, critical systems, commissioning workflows)
• Experience with ServiceNow, CMDB, or similar ITSM platforms (as integration partners)
