About the role

Role Overview

Product Owner responsible for product planning and execution for AssistRx’s specialty pharmacy software products. You act as the bridge between the Product Manager and the delivery team, aligning priorities and execution to business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine current and future customer needs using market research techniques.
  • Develop and prioritize user stories and work items based on product strategy.
  • Write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and groom the backlog.
  • Coordinate with Product Manager and delivery teams to scope and prioritize work regularly.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI and design teams; champion a user-centered design process.
  • Conduct user focus groups.
  • Define and continuously improve usability test criteria to guide product acceptance.
  • Identify and manage potential integration partnerships with external applications.
  • Track industry developments and propose how they impact product needs.
  • Serve as the expert for product delivery and services.
  • Facilitate cross-team communication across product development, including technology, R&D, sales, project management, client services, and marketing.

Requirements

  • Passion for improving patients’ lives and reducing administrative burden for physicians.
  • B.S. in business, marketing, MIS, or computer science preferred.
  • 2–4 years experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and teamwork.
  • Ability to understand different viewpoints and build consensus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adaptability to change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience delivering healthcare products.
  • Agile software development experience.
