About the role
Role Overview
Technical Product Owner focused on Regulatory & SEC reporting. You will partner with business stakeholders, data architects, engineers, and downstream reporting teams to deliver trusted, high-quality data that supports regulatory filings and enterprise reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog (prioritization, refinement, sprint planning, roadmap development) and run Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Define and prioritize requirements for data sourcing, ingestion, transformation, and delivery; write user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate across stakeholders (business, data consumers, architects, engineering, QA) through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Oversee and validate data sourcing, mapping, transformation, and integration into the Unified Conformed Layer (UCL) and downstream enterprise apps.
- Manage Snowflake-based ingestion and output pipelines, ensuring data quality, lineage, governance, and accuracy.
- Partner with architects/engineering on scalable data models and alignment of data flows/dependencies.
- Track delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments and drive timely resolution.
Requirements
- Experience with regulatory and SEC reporting data requirements.
- Strong understanding of how data supports regulatory filings, reconciliation, and downstream reporting (e.g., Axiom, Workiva, OAC).
- Ownership of source-to-target mapping (lead ADRS selection, SOR alignment, joins/filters/transformation logic).
- Structured intake and requirement management from downstream consumers (attribute-level requirements, mappings, acceptance criteria).
- Gap triage across the data lifecycle (mapping gaps vs technical spec gaps vs business decisions vs data quality defects).
- Facilitate mapping reviews and alignment on authoritative sources; establish realistic delivery timelines.
- End-to-end awareness of the pipeline (data sourcing → FDI hydration → UCL unification → reporting consumption).
- Define/support data testing and validation strategy (completeness, accuracy, reconciliation, defect disposition).
- Disciplined backlog management in a data-heavy environment (intake, prioritization, scoring, capacity).
Contract Details
- Contract from start date through 12/31/2026, with an option to extend an additional 6 months and potential conversion to FTE.
- Preferred location: Remote (EST time zone) with occasional travel to NY.
