About the role

Role: Product Owner, Payments (Remote)

You’ll support Experian Health’s revenue cycle payment products, driving incremental innovation and improvements aligned to the product vision and roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Champion continued incremental innovation and product improvement based on vision and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams (Development, QA, UX/UI) to manage delivery and report release impact.
  • Work with Product Managers to obtain internal governance approvals and secure funding for new capabilities/use cases.
  • Coordinate backlog and capacity planning with Development, Implementation, and Support—balancing features, support work, technical debt, and technical improvements.
  • Lead prioritization of the self-pay, payment gateway, and billing backlog to maximize business value delivery.
  • Shape a scalable, API-driven payment architecture with a strong focus on security and HIPAA/PCI compliance.
  • Ensure shared understanding of scope, priorities, and Definition of Ready/Done.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Support product launches and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure features comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Use SQL to explore data, validate hypotheses, and support analytical workflows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Owner role.
  • 2+ years of experience with healthcare technology or SaaS platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with payments technology.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong familiarity with HIPAA/PCI requirements for payment-related systems.

Compensation (as stated)

  • Salary range: $115,747–$208,344 (base pay varies by work location and factors such as skills/experience/education)
  • Variable pay opportunity available
