Product Owner

Role Overview

ModMed is hiring a Product Owner for its ePrescribing (eRx) team. You will act as the primary subject matter expert, bridging product strategy with technical requirements while maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance for the EMA suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the definitive eRx product resource for cross-functional teams (guidance on functionality and workflows).
• Partner with Product Management to scope and manage ePrescribing initiatives based on customer needs, industry changes, and value opportunities.
• Investigate and help resolve product issues reported by customers, solution partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in partner conversations to stay current on industry issues and evaluate external vendor value-add.
• Monitor KPIs to ensure eRx capabilities deliver measurable value to the business and customers.
• Proactively identify and communicate new certification and regulatory requirements (e.g., DEA, ONC, Cures Act) to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of business analyst / product owner experience with an EMR company (or a Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of ModMed’s EMA platform, especially modules interacting with eRx workflows.
• Preferred knowledge of healthcare regulatory bodies/standards: NCPDP, Surescripts, DEA, ONC, Cures Act.
• Proven ability to debug complex product issues and collaborate with engineering on long-term solutions.
• Experience creating metrics and translating data into actionable business insights.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead initiative discussions across departments.
• Ability to work hybrid at the Boca Raton, FL headquarters (ideal).
