About the role
Role Overview
Liberty Mutual Insurance (Agency Distribution Solutions) is seeking a Product Owner I / Product Owner II to deliver digital product capabilities for Comparion Insurance Agency and Liberty Mutual Insurance Agency (LMIA). You will partner with other Product Owners and support multiple Agile teams to deliver measurable value by representing the voice of the customer and the business.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy & Vision
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and refine product vision and align with strategic business priorities.
- Contribute to portfolio vision and communicate product/portfolio objectives to Agile teams.
- Support innovation and modernization that improve agent, customer, and operational experiences.
- Partner with senior Product Owners to identify opportunities that drive business value.
Product Ownership & Backlog Management
- Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned capabilities and enhancements.
- Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize backlog items based on customer needs, business value, dependencies, and strategic objectives.
- Ensure delivery teams understand requirements and are equipped to execute.
Agile Team Leadership
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and quarterly planning.
- Work daily with the Agile team to clarify requirements and remove roadblocks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and product partners to ensure successful delivery.
- Contribute to achieving product-level KPIs and business outcomes.
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
- Build relationships across business and technology organizations.
- Communicate expectations on timelines, releases, and feature enhancements.
- Resolve issues and drive decisions with leadership, product peers, and Agile teams.
Product Health & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor product performance, health, and adoption.
- Analyze feasibility, business value, cost of delay, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term sustainability.
- Use data analysis, customer feedback, and metrics to drive improvements.
Roadmap & Planning
- Collaboratively build and maintain the product roadmap (details not fully included in the posting snippet).
