About the role

Role Overview

Join Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Personal Lines digital servicing team as a Product Owner. You will own and evolve high-impact customer servicing capabilities across rate, renewal, and cancellation journeys, including real-time guidance, recommendations, and the service framework that connects servicing tools to enterprise experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business and enterprise goals.
  • Own and prioritize a complex backlog tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with analytics, data science, UX, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Use data and product health metrics to identify opportunities, measure impact, and guide decisions.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment, manage dependencies, and communicate trade-offs across teams and portfolios.

What You’ll Own

  • Rate, Renewal & Cancellation Journeys: Lead key customer conversation experiences with intelligent recommendations, contextual knowledge, retention tools, and performance-driving capabilities.
  • Real-Time Guidance: Define how leads, upsell opportunities, retention tactics, and other recommendations are surfaced in servicing workflows.
  • Service Framework: Manage capabilities for a consistent, scalable, and secure servicing experience, including platform integrations, authentication/authorization, and audit controls.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies (typically via bachelor’s degree).
  • 7 years in business/technology/consulting, with 5–7 years direct experience with Agile teams.
  • Strong business expertise to set priorities and understand value impacts.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships and influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience leading varied audiences through complex ideas, issues, and designs.
  • Experience with Agile practices; comfortable making decisions under uncertainty.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Insurance servicing platform / modernization experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant insurance products and portfolios preferred.
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation in uncertainty.
