Product Owner

Role Overview

Product Owner (Remote, US-based). Shape product priorities by aligning customer needs, business goals, and execution. Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and go-to-market teams to define opportunities, prioritize work, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the development team across the software development life cycle (features and enhancements)
• Act as Scrum Master for Agile ceremonies as needed (standups, planning, retrospectives)
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user story clarity
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes for Payroll Tax functionality
• Apply Payroll Tax knowledge to support software development and implementation
• Serve as a liaison between business owners and the development team to gather and translate requirements
• Support QA, user testing, and change management for enhancements

Requirements

• 5+ years in payroll tax or a regulated industry analysis/application support
• 5+ years working with Payroll Tax filing or payroll tax software
• 3+ years in process discovery and documentation for web-based systems
• 3+ years defining business roles and technical specifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
