Product Owner

Role Overview

IT Product Owner for Payroll and Time & Labor technology platforms. Own and evolve the payroll/workforce management landscape, ensuring reliable, compliant, and scalable delivery while serving as the primary IT partner to HR, Finance, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Payroll and Time & Labor platforms, balancing enhancements, compliance, and operational stability
• Act as primary IT liaison to Payroll, HR, Finance, and business teams, translating business needs into prioritized technology solutions
• Lead platform enhancements, integrations, and production support for UKG and TRESS
• Drive backlog prioritization, release planning, and delivery using an Agile or hybrid delivery model
• Manage vendors and integration partners supporting Tier-1 payroll and workforce management systems
• Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across supported geographies

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience supporting payroll and workforce management systems (UKG experience strongly preferred)
• Strong functional knowledge of payroll, time tracking, and labor compliance across multiple regions
• Demonstrated experience acting as a Product Owner (or similar leadership role) in technology delivery
• Proven ability to manage integrations, vendors, and production support for mission-critical HR/payroll platforms
• Excellent stakeholder communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills

• Location: United States (Cleveland area preferred); remote acceptable with ~25% travel
• Duration: 10–12 months
